My Journey

How lived experience shaped my approach to wellbeing, resilience, and human potential.

This is not a career story.

It's a human one.

My path here wasn’t linear. It was shaped by early challenges, outward success, inner struggle, and a gradual return to what it means to live with balance and clarity.

Everything I share today comes from lived experience β€” not just theory.

Early Experiences That Shaped Me

I was born with a deformity in my right leg and didn’t walk independently until the age of five, using special shoes for support.

Growing up, this quietly shaped how I saw myself. Confidence didn’t come easily. Anxiety and low self-esteem were familiar companions.

What did come early was effort.

Hard work became my coping strategy β€” a way to feel capable, worthy, and safe.

Chasing Excellence

That drive took me to some of India’s most competitive institutions β€” NIT and IIM β€” and later into senior corporate leadership roles.

For over 30 years, I worked in high-performance environments, leading large teams of over 1,000 people in global organisations. I understood the science of performance, the psychology of leadership, and what it takes to deliver results under pressure.

From the outside, I was successful.
Inside, something felt incomplete.

When Performance Came at a Cost

Years of responsibility and constant striving eventually took a toll.

Despite outward success, I experienced chronic stress, burnout, and periods of anxiety. Achievement without inner balance was not sustainable.

By 2003, after moving to the UK in 1993 and building a strong professional life, I felt internally empty and disconnected.

That realisation led me back to India β€” not to change careers, but to understand myself.

From Chronic Stress to Sustainable Wellbeing

Same person. A very different relationship with life.

Learning That Changed Everything: Meditation and Breathwork

After returning to India, I came into contact with a spiritual teacher who introduced me to Reiki. This marked the beginning of a deeper inner journey.

I went on to learn meditation and breathwork from various spiritual traditions β€” but more importantly, I began to practice consistently.

These practices helped me navigate my own depression and anxiety. Unexpectedly, they also transformed how I showed up as a leader.

As my understanding of the brain, emotional regulation, and mindfulness deepened, I began applying these principles in demanding corporate environments β€” helping myself and my teams stay grounded, focused, and effective under pressure.

My Approach

My approach grew naturally from this integration.

Not theory taught from a textbook.
Not motivation delivered from a stage.

But practices tested in life β€” first in myself, then in my family, and now with others.

I bring together neuroscience, mindfulness, breathwork, and ACT-based practices into tools people can actually use in daily life.

At its heart, my work is:

  • Science-based.
  • Mindfulness-rooted.
  • Human-first.

A Personal Story That Deepened My Purpose

Supporting my daughter through selective mutism and severe anxiety reshaped my understanding of resilience, patience, and compassion.

It taught me that real transformation doesn’t come from pushing harder β€” it comes from feeling safe enough to grow.

From Anxiety to Confidence

In 2023, my daughter Alisha spoke at Dreamforce β€” a moment that once felt unimaginable.

From Practice to Purpose

On 6 May 2011, I formally launched what later became the Core Transformation Program β€” not as a business idea, but as a way to share what was genuinely working in real life.

In 2014, I returned to the UK, where I am now based β€” running group workshops and offering personal brain coaching for professionals, parents, and young people.

Giving Back

This work is closely aligned with service.

I am associated with two mental health charities, and proceeds from this work are donated to charitable causes supporting mental wellbeing.

Giving back is not an add-on β€” it’s part of why this work exists.

Why I Share This

I share this journey because transformation is possible β€” not through fixing yourself, but through understanding yourself with compassion and clarity.

Whether you are a professional under pressure, a parent supporting a child, or someone navigating anxiety:

You are not broken.
You are human.

Where This Journey Leads Today

Today, I support individuals and groups in building focus, emotional resilience, and sustainable wellbeing β€” without pushing harder or losing themselves in the process.
